What Fleeti Lease changes for your fleet

Lease brokerage gives you terms your volume alone cannot

Lease brokerage gives you access to terms usually reserved for large accounts

In long-term leasing, terms depend heavily on the number of vehicles placed with the leasing company. A company with fifteen vehicles usually lacks the weight to access large-account pricing. With Fleeti Lease, your application benefits from terms negotiated across the entire fleet Fleeti manages, not just your own volume.

The gain goes beyond the headline monthly payment. Return charges, mileage limits, excess mileage billing, included services: these lines add up over four years. They can be negotiated too, yet they are often overlooked when two monthly payments are simply compared side by side.

Setting up fleet financing involves a leasing company, often a manufacturer, a dealership, an insurer and your own finance department.

Each has its own timeline, form and contact. Your Fleeti Lease advisor keeps track of it all for you. You know who to call when a delivery slips, and that person already knows your file.

Tax is part of the file from day one

Tax is part of the file from day one

The cost of a company vehicle goes far beyond the lease payment. VAT recovery, the non-deductible depreciation cap, company vehicle taxes, the driver's benefit in kind: these are determined when the model and financing structure are chosen. By year-end close, it is often too late to change course.

A tax specialist reviews every file. The vehicle with the lowest lease payment is not always the cheapest for the company, and the difference can reach thousands of euros over the contract term. You also stay in control of managing your benefits in kind.

Your contract follows your actual mileage

Your contract follows your actual mileage

This is something a broker alone cannot do. A lease is signed on an estimated annual mileage, and any difference is paid when the vehicle is returned. When your vehicles are connected to Fleeti, mileage comes from the vehicle itself.

You compare actual use with the contract commitment on an ongoing basis, spot vehicles that are going off track and amend the contract while there is still time. Fleets that discover excess mileage on return day pay the leasing company's rate.

Who is Fleeti Lease for?

Three situations come up repeatedly in the files we handle. They call for different financing structures, but they share the same obstacle: nobody in-house has the time or the data to decide.

Small businesses without in-house financing expertise

The owner or office manager runs the fleet on top of everything else. Nobody knows the details of vehicle taxation, and the last contract was signed with the first leasing company that replied. Fleeti Lease takes over the file from start to finish, without you having to become an expert.

A wave of contract end dates is coming, or the business needs twenty more vehicles. It is the right time to reopen the buy-versus-lease question instead of renewing by default what was decided four years earlier.

Should you buy or lease your company vehicles?

There is no single right answer. Three structures cover the French market, and the right choice depends on how long you keep the vehicle, what your cash would earn elsewhere and how quickly the model depreciates. Fleeti Lease handles all three.

Frequent replacement

Long-term lease

Frequently asked questions about fleet financing

What is company fleet financing?
Company fleet financing covers all the ways a business can acquire its vehicles: long-term leasing, lease-purchase, lease with purchase option, and purchase by cash or loan. The choice commits the company for three to five years and determines the accounting treatment of the vehicles, their impact on the balance sheet, the VAT that can be recovered and the total cost of ownership. A fleet often mixes several structures by vehicle category: leasing for company cars, purchase or lease-purchase for converted vans and trucks.
What is the difference between contract hire, lease with purchase option and lease-purchase for a business?
Contract hire (LLD in France) is a lease with no option to buy at the end, while a lease with purchase option (LOA) and lease-purchase (crédit-bail) include a purchase option at residual value. With contract hire, you return the vehicle at term end and bear neither the resale nor the depreciation risk. Payments are booked as operating expenses. With lease-purchase, you keep the option to become the owner for an amount set at signature, which makes sense for an asset you plan to use beyond the contract term. LOA is most common for passenger cars, lease-purchase for equipment and industrial vehicles.
Why use a lease broker rather than go directly to a leasing company?
Because leasing companies price by volume, and a fleet of fifteen vehicles carries little weight in their price list. A broker consults several leasing companies on behalf of its entire customer portfolio, which moves your application into a different pricing tier. The difference is not only the monthly payment: mileage limits, excess mileage billing, return charges and the scope of included services are negotiable too, and they are what cause unpleasant surprises at term end. A broker also provides a like-for-like comparison, which individual leasing quotes never allow since each company bundles its services differently.
Can a small business access large-account rates?
Yes, through pooling. A company with five vehicles that approaches a leasing company directly gets the terms for its volume category. Through Fleeti Lease, its application is part of the volume negotiated for all our customers. That is precisely the value of brokerage for small businesses, and where the gap in terms is widest: a large fleet already negotiates well, a small fleet has no bargaining power. Every file follows the same review process, whatever its size.
Should a company buy or lease its vehicles?
It depends on three factors: how long you keep a vehicle, what your cash would earn elsewhere, and how fast the model depreciates. Leasing pays off for a vehicle replaced every three or four years, because you pay for the depreciation period without the resale risk. Buying comes out ahead when you keep the vehicle beyond the lease cycle, for converted vans, for intensive use that leasing companies price poorly, and for low-depreciation models. A well-structured fleet mixes both by asset category rather than applying a single rule.
How is contract hire taxed for a business in France?
Long-term lease payments are deductible from taxable profit, with the depreciation portion above a tax cap (which depends on the vehicle's CO2 emissions) added back. VAT on lease payments is recoverable for vans, but not for passenger cars except in specific cases. Company vehicle taxes also apply and, if the vehicle is made available to an employee for private use, a benefit in kind must be calculated. These factors are decided when the vehicle is chosen, not at year-end, which is why a tax specialist reviews every Fleeti Lease file.
Can vans, trucks and machinery be financed?
Fleeti Lease covers passenger cars, light commercial vehicles and converted vans. Trucks and mobile machinery cannot be financed. The right structure varies widely by category: long-term leasing dominates for company cars, while lease-purchase and outright purchase come out ahead for converted vans, whose useful life far exceeds a lease term and whose specific conversions do not transfer easily from one vehicle to another.
Does Fleeti Lease replace my current leasing company?
No. Fleeti Lease acts as an intermediary between your company and leasing companies on the market. The lease is still signed with the chosen leasing company, which owns the vehicle. Fleeti Lease provides the upfront tendering, the negotiation of terms, the tax structuring of the file and follow-up through to delivery. You do not have to end an existing relationship: your usual leasing company can be consulted alongside the others.
Do I need to use the Fleeti platform to use Fleeti Lease?
No. Fleeti Lease can be used on its own, like the other Fleeti components. You can finance your fleet without activating telematics or fleet management. Companies that combine them gain mainly on contract monitoring: actual mileage comes from the vehicle and is continuously compared with the commitment made at signature, so you can adjust before the return penalty applies. Contracts financed through Fleeti Lease are added to the platform automatically when it is active.
Is Fleeti Lease available outside France?
Not at the moment. Fleeti Lease is for companies established in France. The other Fleeti solutions (telematics, fleet management and in-vehicle video) are available in every country Fleeti covers.
